The University of Oklahoma's College of Dentistry has announced a $3.2 million gift to help renovate the college's building.

OU President David Boren announced Friday the gift from Delta Dental of Oklahoma Oral Health Foundation.

The gift is part of the college's $20 million capital campaign to renovate the dentistry building with the latest technology. The foundation's gift brings to $9.6 million the amount raised for the first phase.

Boren says he plans to suggest that the OU Board of Regents name a floor in the dentistry building in honor of the foundation.

Delta Dental of Oklahoma President and CEO John Gladden says the gift is the largest in the foundation's history and will be disbursed over a 10-year period.
