TULSA, Oklahoma - The Tulsa International Airport advised travelers Wednesday morning to check their flight status before heading to the airport due to the inclement weather.

A check of departures and arrivals at Tulsa International at 10 a.m. on February 20, 2013 showed a number of delays.

Airport officials said snowy weather is a factor. The airport is using its shorter east-west runway because the main north-south runway is closed for construction.

The airlines are required by the FAA to de-ice the planes before they can take off.
