The loss drops the team to 3-4 overall on the season heading into a Feb. 26 home contest against Oklahoma Baptist at 2 p.m.

The Lions swept doubles play, winning 8-0 at No. 1 and No. 3, with the duo of Fabiola Juarez and Cassaundra Braaten putting up the best fight before falling 8-4.

Andreea Georgescu picked up the only SE win in singles play, taking her match at No. 36-2, 6-2.

Sabina Mardarenko nearly rallied in the second set at No. 1, but ultimately fell 6-4, 7-6.

Braaten took her first set in singles at No. 4 to a tiebreaker, but fell 7-6 and dropped he second set 6-3.

While no one was shut out, Juarez, Elba Haugen and Marina Dias each fell in straight sets at No. 2, 5 and 6, respectively.
