Oral Roberts University senior guard Kevi Luper has been honored as Southland Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week. The weekly honor is the second in a row and fifth of the season for the senior from Adair.

Counting her 14 Summit League Player of the Week honors, the weekly award is the 19th of Luper's illustrious collegiate career. With her fifth Player of the Week award this season, Luper is one shy of the SLC record for weekly honors in a season.

Luper scored 33 points in her lone game last week, a 76-69 victory over Central Arkansas on February 19. The 30-point effort, which came in Luper's final home game, was the 25th of her career.

For the season, Luper is averaging 19.0 points and 2.5 steals per game, tops in the Southland Conference in both categories.

Luper currently sits 20th in NCAA Division I history in scoring, at 2,753 career points, and 11th in steals, with 443.

As 14-11 (11-4 SLC), Oral Roberts leads the Southland Conference standings by a half-game over Sam Houston State and Lamar.

Luper and the Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, February 28 at McNeese State. Tipoff in Lake Charles, La., is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CT.
