Catoosa Mobile Home Burns To Ground

Posted: Updated:
CATOOSA, Oklahoma -

A mobile home on Route 66 was engulfed in flames on Thursday morning, resulting in a total loss.

The single-wide, which was in a park directly across from the Blue Whale near Catoosa, caught fire about 6:30 a.m.

The home was occupied by a woman, but at the time, authorities weren't sure if she was a trespasser.

Investigators found in the rubble what they believed were portable heaters, which would have been the only source of heat for the home.

The official cause of the fire has not been determined.

The woman was checked out by emergency medical personnel, but her condition is unknown.
