Tulsa's Admiral Twin Drive-In's Earliest Opening Ever This Weekend

Posted: Updated:
TULSA, Oklahoma -

Tulsa's Admiral Twin Drive-In opens for a new season Friday.

Fire destroyed the beloved Tulsa icon back in September of 2010. The community rallied to raise enough money to bring it back.

Now, workers are putting the finishing touches on the drive-in before this weekend's opening. The work includes repairs to one of the screens, which buckled in the wind.

This will be the earliest the Admiral Twin has opened in more than 20 years.

The drive-in will be open on Fridays and Saturdays during March and April, and then go to seven days a week sometime in May.

The movies showing this weekend are "Jack the Giant Slayer," "Beautiful Creatures," "Safe Haven," and "Warm Bodies."
