Tulsa Lawmaker Honored With Public Service Award

A Tulsa lawmaker received a special award Thursday.

The Oklahoma Commission on the Status of Women presented State Representative Pam Peterson with its 2013 Kate Barnard Award.

The award is given to women who've made a difference in Oklahoma by becoming public servants.

Representative Peterson is the first woman to hold the position of Majority Floor Leader in the Oklahoma State House of Representatives.
