Produce was scattered on one lane of the Turner Turnpike
One semi truck sideswiped another early Friday
TULSA, Oklahoma -
Crews spent a few hours Friday morning cleaning up a huge produce spill on the Turner Turnpike.
Police say a semi sideswiped another parked semi whose driver was taking a sleep break at about 2:30 a.m. in an area that is designated for truck driver parking.
The moving truck's trailer was ripped open, spilling peppers and other vegetables for about 100 feet. Some of the vegetables made it into one lane of the turnpike, but no lanes were closed.
EMSA paramedics checked out the drivers, but no one was transported.
