OKC Police Arrest Elementary School Student For Bringing Gun To School

Oklahoma City Police have arrested a student at an elementary school in the Moore Public Schools district for allegedly bringing a loaded gun on school grounds.

Oklahoma City Police have arrested a student at an elementary school in the Moore Public Schools district for allegedly bringing a loaded gun on school grounds.

Police say the boy is a 12-year-old sixth-grader at Sky Ranch Elementary at S.W. 94th Street and Western. He allegedly had a .45 caliber semi-automatic gun, and it was fully loaded.

The child was arrested and taken to the Cleveland County jail. He was booked on a felony complaint of possession of a firearm on school grounds.

Sky Ranch Elementary School released a statement about the arrest:

"Today a student was arrested by the Oklahoma City Police for bringing a loaded gun onto the school campus at Sky Ranch Elementary School. Personnel at Sky Ranch worked quickly and efficiently to ensure the safety of all students. We will continue to work with the Oklahoma City Police Department during their investigation of this matter."
