A chain link fence is credited with saving a man from serious injury after his truck ran off the Sand Springs Expressway early Friday.
The truck was westbound near 81st West Avenue at 5:30 a.m. when the crash happened.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a the man apparently fell asleep and the truck drifted off the road.
Troopers say the pickup hit a fence which kept it from going into a ditch.
The man's mother showed up at the scene a short time after the wreck and said her son was wearing a seat belt and received only a bump on his head.
The truck was heavily damaged.
