A teenage driver, claiming to have fallen asleep at the wheel, rolled his Dodge Ram pickup truck on Highway 64 at Adams Road Saturday night.

It happened around 11:50 p.m.

Neither the 16-year-old driver nor his three passengers were injured. Police said all of them were wearing seatbelts.

Police said the driver said he had fallen asleep at the wheel on the way home from the Winter Jam concert at the BOK Center in Tulsa. They were going west when the truck left the road and entered the center median, hitting some safety barrels. The truck rolled and came to rest on the cable barrier.

Sands Springs Police and OHP responded to the crash that slowed traffic in the eastbound lanes of Highway 64 late Saturday night. Officers said it could have been much worse if not for the cable barrier, which kept the pickup from entering oncoming traffic.
