Body Of Sallisaw Fisherman Recovered On Lake Eufaula

HASKELL COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A Sallisaw man was pronounced dead after authorities found his body and boat floating on Lake Eufaula late Sunday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Gary Rogers, 58, was found on the lake just south of Eufaula dam and west of state Highway 71 in Haskell County.

Troopers say Rogers had gone fishing and was last heard from at 2 p.m. Sunday. McIntosh and Haskell county deputies found his boat and body just before midnight. 

An investigation into Rogers' death is still underway.
