Tulsa's Woodard Earns Final C-USA Freshman Of The Week Award

Tulsa guard James Woodard averaged 14.0 points and 8.0 rebounds in two games last week, and was named Conference USA Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week.

A native of Edmond, Okla., Woodard totaled 28 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Golden Hurricane to a 1-1 week, including a road win at Rice to conclude the regular season. He scored his fifth double-double of the season, with 11 points and 11 rebounds, and made 4-of-9 field goals and 2-of-3 free throws to lead the Golden Hurricane to the win at Rice. Against SMU on Wednesday, Woodard scored 17 points with five rebounds and a pair of steals.

This is the fourth C-USA Freshman of the Week award for Woodard.

The Golden Hurricane opens the C-USA Championship at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the BOK Center in Tulsa.
