One Killed, 6 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash On I-44 Near Wellston

One person was killed and six others were injured following a multi-vehicle collision in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 44 near Wellston Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the crash just before 5:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-44, about three miles east of Wellston.

The eastbound lanes of I-44 was shut down at 5:18 p.m. Friday. The lanes reopened at 6:38 p.m.

The crash is still under investigation. The victims' names have not been released.
