The Orlando Magic came into Oklahoma City 18-47 this season and the Thunder treated them accordingly.

After a very impressive first quarter and a half, the Thunder had to hold off a relentless Magic run in the fourth quarter to defeat Orlando 117-104 Friday night.

Two Kevin Martin free throws gave Oklahoma City a 57-30 lead with 7:41 remaining in the second quarter. From there, it was one big Orlando run that eventually cut the Thunder lead to four points, 103-99, with 6:20 remaining in the contest.

From there, the Thunder responded in a big way, ending the game on a 14-5 run, with a 3-pointer from Russell Westbrook with 2:06 remaining proving to be the dagger.

Kevin Durant led Oklahoma City with 26 points. Russell Westbrook had 23 points and Serge Ibaka scored 20. Kevin Martin chipped in 15 points off the bench, which scored 38 points as a unit.

Jameer Nelson scored 26 points to lead Orlando. Nikola Vucevic had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds, and Arron Afflalo added 20 points.

The Thunder stormed out of the gate, doing anything they wanted on the offensive end en route to a 39-point first quarter and a 73-point first half, OKC's highest-scoring half of the season.

Oklahoma City was driven by the play of its bench, including Perry Jones, who scored six quick points over the end of the first quarter and beginning of the second quarter to help the Thunder expand a moderate lead into a big one.

The Thunder once again was plagued by turnovers, finishing the game with 17 giveaways. Oklahoma City was also uncharacteristically inconsistent at the free throw line, hitting just 29-of-43 attempts from the charity stripe.

Oklahoma City is back in action Sunday night in Dallas, taking on the Mavericks at 6:30 p.m.
