Tulsa Public Schools is partnering with Ed Labs, a Harvard University program that works to accelerate student growth and achievement to help one of the district's lowest-performing schools.

The program would target McLain High School and the elementary and middle schools that feed into it.

TPS says it's ready to make a significant financial investment to try to turn McLain around.

"It's exciting to think that we're going to bring a very intense program to McLain, that's going to make it a great high school, and that really is our intention," said Superintendent Keith Ballard.

The Ed Labs program includes intensive tutoring and the potential for an extended school year.
