TULSA, Oklahoma -

A Tulsa man charged with hitting and killing an 11-year-old boy on a skateboard with his car will go to trial.

Abraham McDavid is charged with manslaughter in the death of Adrian Spencer Hardridge, Jr.

Police said the boy was riding a skateboard in the street on October 29, 2011, when he was hit by a car. He later died in a Tulsa hospital.

McDavid was driving the car, police said, though his driver's license had expired in 2009.

He was charged in October 2012 and turned himself in to police in December.

Wednesday, McDavid waived his preliminary hearing and was bound over for trial.
