A proposed subdivision in East Edmond has neighbors worried about the value of their dream homes. Inside Tanglevine, at Covell and Midwest Blvd, neighbor shave built their homes on several acres.

"We wanted to move to Edmond for all the trees and hills," says James McKanna, who moved into his home last year.

"This is where we wanted to be," says McKanna.

This week, Edmond's planning commission rezoned 45 acres of land near Tanglevine to make way for a new subdivision. The proposed neighborhood will back up to Tanglevine and include as many as 142 homes. McKanna say the new homes will back right up to his property.

"We are concerned it will affect our property values," says McKanna, whose claims the new homes would back up right to his property.

Other Tanglevine neighbors are concerned about water runoff from the new homes and the trees that will have to be removed to make way for such a development.

Edmond's City Council is expected to address the issue on April 8.
