TULSA, Oklahoma -

Winter isn't quite done with us yet! Some northeastern Oklahoma towns woke up to snow and may see a bit more as Sunday unfolds, according to News On 6 WARN Team meteorologist Dick Faurot.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is reporting that Green Country highways are mostly just wet but there are a few slick spots. Crews are sanding and salting areas as needed, according to a traffic advisory issued at 1 p.m.

"Motorists need to remain cautious throughout this evening and overnight as areas of refreezing may occur due to dropping temperatures," the advisory states.

"Colder, dreary and windy" sums up the forecast for the day, Faurot said in his weather blog. Winds will make temperatures feel even frostier.

The storm system of the last few days has produced everything from hail to drizzle to snow, but now it is moving eastward, Faurot said in his weather blog.

"We may even get to see a few rays of sunshine late this afternoon," he said.

News On 6 viewers in Bartlesville, Dewey and Claremore have called in reporting snowfall. Tulsa saw some freezing rain overnight and a few flakes have been falling Sunday morning.

"Much below normal temperatures will prevail into the coming work week with morning lows in the 20s and daytime highs in the 40s to near 50," Faurot said. "Our winds will finally return to a more southerly direction by the end of the day Wednesday which will also help to warm things up until the next cool front arrives along about Saturday.

"There are also indications of another stronger system affecting the state early that following week which would keep us on the cool side of things for that first week of April," Faurot said.
