An accused burglar fell through the ceiling of a southwest Oklahoma City home while hiding from police.

The victim, Shirley Cloud, told police when she came home Saturday morning, she noticed someone had ransacked her house, located near S.W. 65th and May. That's when she called police.

Cloud said when she was on the phone with police, one of the suspects attacked her.

"I came in and I called 911. While I was on the phone with them, someone came up behind me, and as I swung around, he hit me. And I fell to the ground," Cloud said.

Cloud said she then got up, grabbed her dog, and ran out.

Officers did not find the suspects as they arrived at the scene. However, after they left, Cloud called police again and said she heard someone moving around inside her attic.

Officers returned to the home and found one of the suspects hiding in the attic. While officers attempted to handcuff the suspect, he fell through the ceiling and into the kitchen, according to police.

Both suspects, Nicholas Werner and Taylor Lane, have been arrested on burglary charges and were booked into the Oklahoma County jail.

Police believe the two broke into two homes over the weekend.
