Stretch of I-40 Dedicated To ODOT Worker Killed In Work Zone

A stretch of Interstate 40 near Henryetta was renamed in honor of a highway worker who was killed there.

ODOT dedicated the stretch of I-40 to Tim Vandiver Monday afternoon.

Vandiver died last June when a drowsy driver hit the truck he was sitting in, in a work zone. Vandiver was thrown from the truck and died at the scene.

He had been with ODOT for 17 years.
