The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents has elected Richard Dunning of Oklahoma City as chairman for the coming year.
The board made the selection Thursday during a meeting in Oklahoma City in which it also elected Tom Clark of Tulsa as vice chairman.
Dunning was appointed to the OU Board of Regents in 2007 by then-Gov. Brad Henry. Dunning is the founder of Indian Oil Co. and is currently president and CEO of Indian Exploration Co. LLC of Oklahoma City.
Clark was appointed to the Board of Regents by then-Gov. Frank Keating in 2001 and was reappointed by Henry in 2008. He is a former U.S. Air Force flight instructor and is now president and CEO of Tulsair.
