Oklahoma Baptist got a walk-off home run in the first game, but couldn't ride the momentum, settling for a 3-2, 11-5 split with Wayland Baptist in Sooner Athletic Conference baseball action Friday.

OBU won the season series 3-1.

Wayland Baptist scored twice in the top of the second to take a 2-0 lead in the opener. OBU got one run back in the home half when Kevin Hatch tripled and scored on a fielder's choice by Mitch Warne.

The Bison tied the score in the sixth with Garrett Roberts doubling and eventually scoring on a sacrifice fly by Matt Page.

Hatch homered to left on the second pitch of the bottom of the seventh to give the Bison the victory.

Jordan Morales (5-0) went the distance for the win, striking out two and allowing just one earned run.

Hatch's two hits paced OBU's seven-hit outing.

The Bison led 4-0 in the second game, scoring on a wild pitch in the first and getting three in the second on an RBI walk by Greg Nelson, a sacrifice fly by Brandon Laubhan and an RBI double by Yael Colon.

The Pioneers scored twice in the third and erupted for eight runs in the fourth on seven hits and two walks.

OBU scored its final run in the seventh when Hatch was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

The Bison had six hits, including three by Jeff Johnson.
