OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City woman was arrested for animal cruelty after authorities found her five horses malnourished Monday morning.

Officers responded to the report of animal cruelty at the Wallace Horse Park, located at 14800 S. Western Ave. Police say Rhonda Haynie's five horses are in such bad shape, they could see their bones.

Officers say one horse could not stand and was barely moving. His ribs were showing and he had obvious signs of poor health. The horse was in such bad condition, a doctor was called and had to put him down, according to police.

Authorities say the other four horses were in various stages of starvation, and they all showed a lack of care.

Haynie was then taken into custody on five counts of animal cruelty.
