Man Who Set NW OKC Home Ablaze Mentally Ill, Says Wife

Oklahoma City Fire officials say a man set his own house on fire Wednesday afternoon. 

It happened at a rental home on NW 23^rd St. and Villa. 

Firefighters found the man unconscious in a front bedroom in the home. Paramedics transported him to Baptist Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

On Wednesday night, the man's wife called News 9 and said her husband suffers from paranoid delusions and has been off his medications.  She lives in the home with the man, and says she left the home shortly before he started several fires in the home. 

She says he used charcoal lighting fluid to start the fires.
