Sand Springs Man Admits Embezzling $22,000 From Restaurant

According to jail records, Jason Martin, 21, of Sand Springs was arrested after the restaurant chain investigated a shortage in a bank deposit.

A Sand Springs man is in jail after a Mazzio's investigator found the employee had embezzled just over $22,000 in the past seven months.

According to jail records, Jason Martin, 21, was arrested after the restaurant chain investigated a shortage in a bank deposit.

The report stated Martin admitted to voiding 1,042 pizza orders totaling $22,003.20. Martin told the investigator he had stolen the money by unposting completed orders and then took the money "without a trail on the nightly books."

Sand Springs Police arrested Jason Martin at the restaurant.

Martin was booked into the Tulsa County jail on an embezzlement complaint, bond was set at $2,000.

Martin has a court appearance set for April, 11, 2013.
