A man who was driving under the influence and crashed into another car, killing a woman in Norman, has been found guilty of manslaughter.

A man who was driving under the influence and crashed into another car, killing a woman in Norman, has been found guilty of manslaughter.

A Cleveland County jury convicted Mark Peters, 54, Thursday for the crash that killed Safari McDoulett in February 2012. McDoulett was the community relations director for Oklahoma County District 2.

According to Oklahoma County District 2 Commissioner Brian Maughan, Peters had three prior felony convictions on drug charges.

Formal sentencing for Peters is scheduled for May 17.
