Police arrested two women who are accused of trying to steal more than $1,900 worth of merchandise, including a computer, from a Wal-Mart store in Oklahoma City.

It happened Tuesday night at a Wal-Mart store, located at 100 E. I-240 Service Road.

According to the store's asset protection employees, two women, later identified as Amanda Redwine and Virginia Day, were seen using a magnetic key to remove the security spider wires from a computer box.

Employees say after the two removed the wires, they put the computer box and several other unpaid items in a shopping cart, and began pushing the cart out of the general merchandise exit without paying for them.

Employees were able to stop the women. However, as police officers arrived at the scene, Redwine was "very upset and screaming," saying "she was going to sue Wal-Mart for excessive force and that she knew the head of security."

Officers found the magnetic key inside Redwine's purse, along with a small glass vial containing marijuana.

Both Redwine and Day were taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of larceny of merchandise.
