A police report states 54 students were suspended after they were found in the hall after the bell rang. They were told not to come back without a parent or they would be arrested for trespassing.

Four students came to school the next day without a guardian, and were arrested.

Oklahoma City Public Schools says Principal Adys Altstatt submitted her resignation Friday.

Superintendent Karl Springer released the following statement,

"Jefferson Middle School Principal Adys Altstatt submitted her resignation on Friday April 19, 2013. The district has notified school staff and will communicate with parents to reassure them that teaching and learning will continue despite the change in leadership. Because this is a personnel issue, additional information cannot be released publicly."
