Oklahoma State third baseman Robbie Rea is the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week for games played April 15-21, it was announced by the league office on Monday.

Rea helped OSU to a 3-1 week that included a series win over Kansas State as he hit .400 (6-for-15) with three home runs, a double and four RBIs. He racked up 16 total bases and a 1.067 slugging percentage while adding a stolen base and scoring four runs. He also played error-free defense at the hot corner.

A senior from Topeka, Kan., Rea hit safely in all four of OSU's games, beginning with a Tuesday win at Missouri State. In the series opener against Kansas State, he became the first Cowboy with multiple homers in a game in 2013 as he delivered two against the Wildcats and tied a season high with three RBIs. He also had two hits in the series finale. He finished the K-State series 5-for-11 (.455) with three homers, a double, four RBIs, four runs, 15 total bases and a 1.364 slugging percentage.

Today's award marks the second time in Rea's career he has been named a Big 12 Player of the Week; he also earned the distinction on March 12, 2012. Rea is the third OSU player to garner a Big 12 weekly award this season, joining Zach Fish (Player of the Week on March 19) and Tanner Krietemeier (Newcomer of the Week on Feb. 18).
