Tulsa Police's special operations team arrested a stabbing suspect after surrounding his home in the 6700 East Independence Place early Wednesday.

Police got the initial call at 2:45 a.m. about a stabbing and shots being fired.

Officers found a man stabbed several times and EMSA took him to a hospital. There is no word on his condition.

Police believe Darnell Crosby, 37, attacked his neighbor and fired several shots, then ran into his house. Police say Crosby's wife and children escaped the home as officers arrived.

Shortly before 7:45 a.m., police fired gas canisters into the home, forcing Crosby outside where they arrested him.

Tulsa Police had shut down access to the area and asked neighbors to remain inside until the standoff was resolved.
