An Oklahoma City man who burned hamburgers in his kitchen two weeks ago is now looking at felony drug charges.
Police say the burned burgers set off a police-monitored smoke alarm at a house 32-year-old Kris Langdon shares with Hope Schiebert and her four young children. Police say when they got to the house, there was a marijuana plant close to the front door, and there was a strong odor of pot.
Police say they found four pot plants growing in 5-gallon buckets.
Langdon and Schiebert were arrested for felony drug and child-endangerment charges. Schiebert says it was an illegal search.
"They come in and they just pushed through the door," she said.
Schiebert says Langdon grows pot to help him cope with the side effects of cancer.
