Rain and wind couldn't dampen the mood of one Green Country neighborhood, as more than 100 volunteers came out to kick off the Brush With Kindness Initiative.

Volunteers with the Tulsa Habitat for Humanity helped spruce up the Crutchfield neighborhood Thursday.

Habitat is known for building homes, but this event is a little different.

"Along with building new homes in a neighborhood, we'll also work with existing homeowners, not Habitat families, but their owners who live there that just need some assistance repairing some minor repairs on the outside of their homes," said Executive Director of Tulsa's Habitat For Humanity Paul Kent.

More than 400 volunteers are expected to come out and help as the event continues through the weekend.
