Oklahoma State's Mark Robinette has been named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week for games played April 29-May 5, it was announced by the league office today.

Robinette tossed a complete game shutout in Sunday's series clinching game against Texas Tech in Lubbock as he improved to 5-0 on the season. The shutout and complete game marked the firsts of his career, and the nine-inning effort bested the junior right-hander's previous career-long outing of 6.2 innings.

In the 3-0 victory, Robinette tied a career high with seven strikeouts while scattering six hits, all singles. He did not issue a walk in the 131-pitch effort, which marked the highest pitch total by a Cowboy this season. Additionally, no Texas Tech base runner advanced past second base.

At one point, Robinette retired eight consecutive Texas Tech hitters, and he set the Red Raiders down in order in the seventh and eighth innings. He continued that trend in the ninth, with the only base runner reaching on a one-out error before he retired the next two to end the game.

Robinette's complete game was the fourth by an OSU pitcher this season and only the third in a game that spanned nine innings, while the shutout was the third by a Cowboy hurler in 2013.
