Alcohol factored into a single-vehicle collision Friday night, sending a Drumright man to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Marshall Still, 52, was airlifted by medical helicopter after he lost control of his vehicle and crashed near Cushing, a collision report says.
According to the report, Still failed to negotiate a curve on a county road a mile south of Oklahoma 33 about 10:30 p.m. His vehicle departed the roadway to the right, struck an embankment, rolled two times and struck a guardrail, the report says.
Still was pinned for about 15 minutes before being freed by the Cushing Fire Department.
In the report, the investigating trooper noted Still’s condition as intoxicated and the cause of the collision as DUI.
He was wearing a seat belt.
