The former Chief Financial Officer of the Oklahoma City YWCA, who’s accused of stealing $280,000 from the organization, surrendered to police Monday morning after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Prosecutors have charged Shannon Rickards with embezzlement. Investigators say she stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from the charity’s resale shop, My Sisters’ Closet.

Court documents show Rickards applied for debit cards from the YWCA store’s bank account in other employees’ names. Prosecutors say between October 2010 and January 2013, Rickards used those cards to withdraw cash.

Rickards was booked into the Oklahoma County jail around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
