TULSA, Oklahoma -

In July 2012, members of Oklahoma National Guard's 120th Engineer Battalion said goodbye to their families as they headed to Afghanistan.

Those soldiers will return to Oklahoma Wednesday morning and - as in July - a ceremony is planned at the Tulsa Air National Guard base.

While in Afghanistan, the battalion worked with the Afghan National Army to build roads, buildings and military support facilities, according to  the Oklahoma National Guard.

Oklahoma's Adjutant General, Major General Myles Deering, is scheduled to welcome the soldiers home.
