The Red Cross has teamed up with the Salvation Army and Southern Baptist group to make sure tornado victims and emergency workers are being fed as they sift through the destruction left by Sunday's tornadoes.

The Red Cross has set up a fixed feeding site at the Shawnee Expo Center at Highway 177 and Leo Street. Volunteers will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Red Cross has also set up three shelters for residents who need a place to stay. They are located at:

Carney: Carney Senior Center, 301 Maple Ave

Shawnee: Shawnee Athletic Center- Shawnee High School, 1001 North Kennedy

Little Axe: Absentee Shawnee Tribe Resource Center 1970 156th Ave.

Red Cross spokesman Ken Garcia says he knows a lot of people want to help tornado victims. He says the best way to do that is to donate money to the organization, so it can get much-needed aid and supplies to the hardest hit areas. People can donate on the website, RedCross.org. Or you can text "REDCROSS" at 90999 to donate $10.
