Muskogee Teacher Accused Of Slapping First-Grader In The Face

A Muskogee teacher was arrested, accused of slapping a student Wednesday.

Joan Martin faces a charge of misdemeanor assault and battery charge.

In an affidavit, the mother of a first-grader claims Martin slapped her daughter in the face, while she was on the playground.

Prosecutors say Martin slapped the girl "with force and violence."
