We can't say it enough: so many people are now heroes. One man actually rescued children from the debris at Plaza Towers and his cell phone was recording the entire time.

Cleanup continues here Plaza Towers Elementary school. News 9 actually got to visit with one young man who helped save at least two children who were buried in the rubble.

This is the cell phone video 19-year-old Jacob Lyles took as the tornado started barreling down on his neighborhood. What happened next he says was like a blur. Jacob got into a neighbors underground storm cellar and when he got out, everything was destroyed.

Jacob went house to house to try to rescue people stuck in the rubble. He then made it to Plaza Tower Elementary, a school he attended himself, to see if he could help find any children. That's when his cellphone started recording in his pocket. Listen to how this hero tried to calm the young girls he was helping.

Jacob tells News 9 this experience has changed his focus.
