A Tulsa man was arrested late Friday and is being held on a $95,000 bond in a west Tulsa shooting.

Joshua Allen Abbett, 23, was booked on complaints of shooting with intent to kill, pointing a deadly weapon and transporting an open firearm.

Police were called to the 400 block of South 56th West Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. They learned that a man had been shot and taken by private car to a Tulsa hospital. Witnesses said the suspect had also pointed a gun at another person at the scene.

The wounded man had been shot multiple times, according to Tulsa Police Sergeant Mark Mears.

Abbett called police about the same time, telling them he had shot a man who pointed a gun at him. Abbett told officers he returned home afterward. Officers took Abbett into custody at his home in the 500 block of South 57th West Avenue.
