MOORE, Oklahoma -

Hundreds of volunteers have answered the call for help, and it's no different here in Moore on Memorial Day. Even on a holiday in their honor, our military is still in service.

"It's pretty devastating but the way the community has come together, it's pretty amazing," U.S. Air Force Lt. Mike Ciser described the damage on Monday afternoon.

Dressed in camouflage, our servicemen and women will do anything but blend in with other volunteers.

On Memorial Day, veterans helping storm victims really stand out.

"That's what we are here for. I joined the military to serve. I didn't join to sit on the couch on Memorial Day," Army Specialist Tyrell Rembret with the Oklahoma National Guard said, while passing out supplies in tornado-ravaged neighborhoods.

Members of the military cleared debris from neighborhoods and passed out supplies to volunteers.

"This is just another day at the office," Specialist Rembret said.

Rembret knows the support from soldiers can bring a sense of order to the chaos.

"just making sure they have fun too. Just putting a smile on their face when we walking by, you know, why not?"

It is the service that knows no boundaries in an area where the boundaries have been wiped away.

"We have to make sure our neighbors are safe too," Specialist Rembret said.
