Some Green Country Residents Spend Holiday Helping In Shawnee

Some folks from Green Country passed up holiday celebrations to help tornado victims and got to work instead of relaxing on the long weekend.

One of those was 12-year-old Matthew Davis from Tulsa. He was in Shawnee volunteering for the Red Cross.

"The needs of the many are a lot bigger than the needs of the few. I find it right to sacrifice a little bit of time for the greater good," said Matthew Davis.

He and his parents helped move boxes, fill food bags and pass out dinner to storm victims.
