NORMAN, Oklahoma -

People who lost everything from the Moore tornado are being dealt another blow--they will likely be moving very soon.

The Red Cross has confirmed with News 9 that the 250 people living in the dorms since the May 20 are being transitioned to other living arrangements.

It's the goal of the Red Cross to get everyone staying at the dorms out of them by Friday. But many living in the dorms right now thought they would be allowed to stay longer.

"At least a month or two, that's what some people were thinking," said Terimy Miller, who was staying at the dorm with her three young sons.

Miller felt fortunate Tuesday to find a Norman apartment complex to move in to for the next six to 12 months.

That same complex has a waiting list for some of its units, because of tornado victims.

"It's fine, it's basically a place where I can have my boys," said Miller, about the Norman apartment she will be moving to Thursday.

The Red Cross is now assisting those staying at the OU dorm. It is also providing cots to sleep on at their two open shelters at Moore Community Center and St. Andrews Methodist Church.
