Tulsa's Saint Simeon's welcomed some new residents this week. The center, located in the 3700 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard is home to eight adult peacocks and peahens and now has 20 peachicks roaming the grounds.
Center officials say after the peachicks have spent a month with mom and dad, Saint Simeon's will make them available to the public for a suggested donation of $40 each.
The center says it is a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat, which officials say provides the basic habitat elements for wildlife to thrive.
In addition to the flock of peacocks, tortoises, possums, pigeons, and Koi, Saint Simeon's says deer, foxes, coyotes, and bobcats also call the center and its surroundings home.
