Tulsa Police believe they have put an end to a series of burglaries at Bishop Kelley High School with the arrest of two Edison High School students. One of the juveniles was wearing a pair of Bishop Kelley sweats officers say were likely stolen earlier this year.

Cleaning crew workers called police at 10:30 Thursday night saying they could hearing someone moving on the roof. Officers, K-9 units and the Police One helicopter responded to the high school at 3905 South Hudson Avenue.

Police caught one youth running away from the school and the helicopter spotlighted the second still on the roof.

A burglary detective tells News On 6 burglars have hit the school five or six times over the last two months. By the time law enforcement responded to alarms, the boys were gone. One time officers found guitars stacked outside that the thieves apparently abandoned in making their escape.

Police believe the two boys took a key card when they first broke in and used it in subsequent burglaries. Officers say they also made entry through the rooftop after the key card was disabled.

The school took additional preventative measures which police say helped them capture the two juveniles Thursday night.
