Heroes from America's greatest generation got a chance to tour the plane that helped win World War II.

It's the 70th anniversary of The Memphis Belle's final mission.

And Monday, veterans who flew B-17s got quality time with the plane before it goes on display to the general public.

"This is a beautiful airplane. I mean, our crew believed that if we ever had real problems and lost all four engines, we liked it so much, we thought that if we threw the armament out and jumped up and down, we could flap the wings and still get home," said WWII vet Jack Babbitt.

Flight and ground tours are available to the public this weekend, June 8 - 9, at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum.
