Tulsa voters will head to the polls on June 11, 2013 to cast their ballots for mayor.

There are five candidates in the race.

If one of the candidates gets at least 50 percent of the vote, that candidate will win. If that doesn't happen, the top two candidates will move on to a runoff.

News On 6 invited the top three candidates to join us on Six in the Morning Tuesday.

Current Tulsa mayor Dewey Bartlett declined, citing an exclusive agreement with another media outlet. News On 6 has never tried to restrict or limit discussion and debate during a campaign by asking candidates for exclusive access. We believe such an agreement deprives voters of the opportunity to hear from the candidates.

Former Tulsa mayor Kathy Taylor chose not to participate. She told us it's not the "most effective use of her time."

The only candidate to attend was former city councilor Bill Christiansen.
