An Oklahoma military mom who's serving overseas won't be able to return to her home when she comes back to Oklahoma.

The Moore tornado leveled it in May 20.

Family and friends are trying to get the airman back on her feet when returns to American soil.

The benefit for Tiffany Moore was Sunday night, and her friends hope the money raised will help her start a new life after the tornado.

"It's going to be pretty hard on her getting started and getting her life back," Becky Rodriguez said.

Moore, a Tulsa native, currently is deployed overseas as a flight medic with the United States Air Force.

Days after her deployment, her home was destroyed by the EF5 tornado in Moore.

Her 3-year-old daughter made it through the tornado.

"We're just trying to get things together where they have something where she does come back and she's able to have her own furnishings and clothing, things she doesn't have right now," Moore's mother Christine Sutton said.

At the Red Dirt Saloon, the community came together to raise money for Tiffany and her daughter Payton.

"When she comes home... she gets here… when she comes home, the last thing we want her to do is to have to worry about this, we want it to be taken care of before she gets here," Rodriguez said.

Sutton said her daughter's home was leveled.

Nothing is left.

Her family hopes this benefit can get her back on her feet.

"She doesn't have anything now," Sutton said. "What people take for granted -- the dishes in their kitchen or, you know, bedding on their bed -- she doesn't have any of that,"

Moore sent a video from overseas as a way of saying thanks to those at the fundraiser.

"I know one thing the military has taught me is that no matter how many different personalities it takes to pull together, we can also complete the same mission with the great heart that everyone has inside of them," Moore said on the video.

Sutton said her daughter is in good spirits despite losing her home and being overseas serving her country until later this summer.

"Even with everything she's lost, she's just still very positive with what's she's doing overseas, just very positive," Sutton said.

She's out performing heroic missions in uniform, but she's got her own band of heroes at home.

"We're just trying to make sure everything is put together before she comes home," Rodriguez said.
