TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa Shock lost their fourth overtime game of the young season, falling to the Phoenix Mercury, 108-103.

After Diana Taurasi made 1-of-2 free throws with six seconds remaining in regulation to give the Mercury a 93-90 lead, Tulsa's Riquana Williams buried a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime.

Tulsa took a quick 95-93 lead in the overtime period, but Phoenix retook the lead on a 3-pointer from Taurasi with 4:03 remaining in the period and never trailed again.

Taurasi scored 29 points, and DeWanna Bonner had 23 to lead Phoenix.

No. 1 overall pick Britney Griner finished with 16 points.

Glory Johnson had career-best 32 points to lead Tulsa. She also added 15 rebounds for a double-double. Williams added a career-high 28, hitting six 3-pointers, and rookie Skylar Diggins had a season-best 22, snapping out of a shooting slump that has plagued her for much of the season.

The second half featured eight ties and 11 lead changes before Taurasi took over, scoring eight points in the overtime period.

Phoenix came out firing, riding a hot shooting performance to gain a 23-15 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Shock battled back, drawing within a single point in the second quarter on multiple occasions, but failed to take the lead, trailing 48-46 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Tulsa finally broke through, tying the game on a layup from Johnson with 5:45 remaining in the quarter, and took the lead on a Diggins layup a minute later.

Johnson's jumper with 5:50 remaining in the game gave Tulsa an 81-80 lead, but Griner scored six straight points to give Phoenix a five-point lead with 3:14 remaining.
